What is Christian Science?
A Bible-based church
In accordance with the Scriptures, Christian Science teaches that man is the image and likeness of God, whose true identity is whole and spiritual. An understanding of man’s spiritual identity brings healing and regeneration to our human experience.
The Church of Christ, Scientist, is:

Mary Baker Eddy
At a time when women’s rights were not yet fully recognised, Mary Baker Eddy was an author, publisher and religious leader, who was known worldwide and regularly featured on the front page of newspapers. Her revolutionary book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, contains the explanation of Christian Science and includes over 100 pages of verified healings. Subsequently, she
founded The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, as the mother church which has democratically governed branches throughout the world. This remarkable woman then established a publishing house which prints weekly and monthly magazines featuring articles on Christian Science practice and verified testimonies of healing, in addition to publishing a daily newspaper, The Christian Science Monitor. The Holy Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures
Passages from the Bible and related passages from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures create the weekly Bible Lesson. This is studied daily by students of Christian Science. It forms the Sunday sermon which is read aloud by two elected lay members of the church. The same sermon is read in every branch church worldwide. Our Pastor speaks to every need and situation offering messages of comfort, love, strength, joy and healing.
